October 2017

October Recap

The children have adjusted so well and are enjoying the work and lessons. Our school is continuing to grow.  Thank you to all of you for being part of this journey and for recommending your friends and neighbors!  We would still love to hear from you on our Parent Survey.  If you have not had a chance to turn yours in, it’s not too late…we would love to hear what you think

This month we celebrated Fire Safety Week (with all the fires going on the timing was perfect to teach the child what they can do in an emergency).  We even had the local Fire Department stop by with a Fire Truck.  We took lots of pictures and some even were brave enough to sit in the truck!

We had a visit from our neighborhood Dentist that taught us all about keeping our teeth clean for Dental Awareness Month. The children all got to practice proper teeth brushing and were given tips to help keep their teeth healthy and strong.

October has also brought wonderful changes on our playground.  If you have not had a chance to see the beautiful tree stepping stones, balance beams or amazing garden beds—-step outside to see all the beauty that is taking place. It has been very exciting as we water and watch the carrots, celery, radishes, beans, peas and beets sprout and grow. This has been an activity that the children are excited about daily. We encourage you to grow something at home with your child

Thank you to all the families that were able to attend our Halloween celebration. This will be a great tradition we will look forward to each year. We had a great time seeing all the children and teachers in their Halloween Costumes.
