November 2017

November Recap

It was a busy month at our school! Children learned all about healthy eating and taking care of their bodies. They studied North America; the countries, flags, animals and plants of the continent. Children in Primary have started creating maps in the classroom and are very busy during Montessori work time. While outside, they are working hard to care for the vegetables in the garden, as well as the flowers that are still in bloom. The little ones have been working on moving, walking, talking and exploring the world around them. Thank you to all our families who contributed to our Harvest Feast. There was a great turn out and the children all loved the food. It was a great way to gather just the children and talk about what we are thankful for and have a nice meal together before the holiday.

Our fundraising this month was incredible for such a small school. Thank you to each and everyone who helped us reach our goals! We raised $375 in Scholastic purchases to give the school $185 to purchase additional books for the classrooms. The See’s Candy fundraiser was such a huge success!! Thank you so much for those that collected candy orders and those that just gave from their hearts. We are so appreciative and excited for our new sandbox.
